I am posting my thoughts here because Willem asked me to...

Though I am also saddened and concerned about the choices our friend has made, my heart is even more sad that WE would only see her husband for what he has done in the past and not by what he can become in Christ. Our friend´s husband needs Jesus.... and we have an opportunity to be used by God, if we seek it. Yeah, this makes a great story...... but is it the heart of Jesus? All I´m saying is that if we believe words have life, choose them wisely. I read the words, drunken abusive deadbeat husband and said ¨Dear Jesus, I pray he´s not condemned to that.....¨ I´m reminded of the time when the religious leaders dragged the woman before Jesus and called her an adulteress and wanted to throw stones. We all know what Jesus´ reply was... Did she commit adultery? Yes. But did Jesus call her that by name? WE haven´t come to this place to throw stones. We´ve come to share life and hope with EVERYONE.
